BUILT FOR COLORADO

The Right Cattle for the Country

Raising cattle in Colorado’s high country means paying attention to more than size or growth alone. Elevation, terrain, weather, and changing seasons all put demands on an animal, so we look closely at health, structure, condition, movement, and how each one performs in the environment where it is being raised.

Altitude by itself doesn’t make better beef. What matters is selecting and managing cattle that are well suited to the country, then watching how they develop over time.
That means making decisions based on the animal in front of us — not simply a number on a chart.

“The right animal isn’t just one that grows. It’s one that fits the environment.”

THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE RANCH

Three Generations. One Way of Life.

Ranching knowledge gets passed along by doing the work. For the Curtis family, that means caring for cattle, teaching the next generation and sharing agricultural knowledge through local 4-H and school activities.
